1. Overview
Clearly ("Company," "we," "our," or "us") is a personal budgeting application offered as a software-as-a-service (SaaS) product. This Refund Policy explains when and how you may receive a refund for payments made for our paid subscription plans.
This policy applies to all purchases made through our website at clearly.money or through our authorized payment processor.
2. Free Tier
Clearly offers a free tier that provides access to core budgeting features at no cost. Since no payment is required for the free tier, no refund applies. You may use the free tier for as long as you wish to evaluate the product before upgrading to a paid plan.
3. Paid Subscriptions
Paid subscription plans are available on a monthly or annual billing cycle. When you subscribe to a paid plan, you will be charged the applicable fee at the beginning of each billing period.
3.1 Monthly Subscriptions
If you are not satisfied with your monthly subscription, you may request a full refund within 14 days of your initial purchase or renewal. After 14 days, no refund will be issued for the current billing period, but you may cancel your subscription to prevent future charges.
3.2 Annual Subscriptions
If you are not satisfied with your annual subscription, you may request a full refund within 30 days of your initial purchase. After 30 days, you may request a prorated refund for the unused portion of your subscription term, calculated from the date of the refund request. Prorated refunds are issued at our discretion.
4. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please contact us using one of the following methods:

- Include your account email address, the date of purchase, and the reason for your request
We will acknowledge your request within 2 business days and process approved refunds within 5–10 business days. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method.
5. Exceptions
Refunds may not be available in the following circumstances:
- Accounts terminated for violation of our Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy
- Requests made outside the applicable refund window (14 days for monthly, 30 days for annual)
- Duplicate refund requests for the same billing period
- Chargebacks initiated without first contacting us directly
6. Cancellation
You may cancel your paid subscription at any time through your account settings (Settings > Account > Subscription) or by contacting us at budget@clearly.money.
Upon cancellation, your paid features will remain active until the end of your current billing period. After that, your account will revert to the free tier. Your data will be preserved and accessible on the free tier.
7. Billing Disputes
If you believe you have been charged in error, please contact us at budget@clearly.money before initiating a dispute with your bank or credit card provider. We are committed to resolving billing issues promptly and fairly.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. Changes will not apply retroactively to purchases made before the effective date of the updated policy.
